Drainage
Clay soil is common round here, and water that has nowhere to go sits on the lawn or runs towards the house. We give it somewhere to go.
Most drainage work happens as part of a patio or driveway: the fall is set away from the house, and a channel drain goes in where the paving meets a door.
What's included
- Falls set on patios and drives
- Channel drains along doors and drives
- Soakaways and gravel trenches
- Access covers recessed into paving
- Lawns relevelled where water sits
Every job comes with a 12-month guarantee, written on the quote.
Questions about drainage
My lawn stays wet after rain. Can you fix it?
Usually, with a soakaway or a gravel drain under the wettest part. Send photos after rain and we will look.
Does my new driveway need drainage?
Yes: front gardens over 5 square metres must be permeable or drain into the garden, not the road.
